Steps to reproduce:

Actual results:

Page is loaded, but no scroll to anchor happens

Expected results:

Page should have scrolled to the anchor

So my testing:

  1. Anchor is respected when copy&pasting URL
  2. Anchor is not respected when clicking on URL and opening to a new tab / new window / new container context

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

I can't seem to reproduce this. Daniel, when you click the link from your comment 0, does the page scroll to the anchor correctly? Or is it only from some other particular page that links to it that it doesn't work?

Since an upgrade to Firefox 83 I am unable to reproduce.
