Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:82.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/82.0
Steps to reproduce:
- try opening https://www.mozilla.org in Firefox (the site should load)
- Add entry to the local hosts file (C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts on Windows10), e.g.:
127.0.0.1 www.mozilla.org - Restart firefox and try opening https://www.mozilla.org in Firefox (the site should become unaccessible)
- in "Options" -> "Network Settings", check the option "Enable DNS over HTTPS" with provider "Cloudflare (Default)"
- try opening https://www.mozilla.org again (the site will load again)
Actual results:
When using DNS over HTTPS, local DNS entries in the hosts files are ignored and I can access sites that I blocked using the etc/hosts entries.
Expected results:
Firefox should use the local etc/hosts entries even when "DNS over HTTPs" is used.

I think we've fixed this in bug 1616252.
Could you test again with the latest nightly?

Yep, I could not reproduce the issue in nightly 85.0a1. Thank you!
