The following Firefox probes will expire in the next major Firefox nightly release: version 86 [1].

FX_MIGRATION_SOURCE_BROWSER
FX_MIGRATION_ERRORS
FX_MIGRATION_USAGE
FX_MIGRATION_BOOKMARKS_IMPORT_MS
FX_MIGRATION_HISTORY_IMPORT_MS
FX_MIGRATION_LOGINS_IMPORT_MS
FX_MIGRATION_LOGINS_JANK_MS
FX_MIGRATION_BOOKMARKS_QUANTITY
FX_MIGRATION_HISTORY_QUANTITY
FX_MIGRATION_LOGINS_QUANTITY
What to do about this:
- If one, some, or all of the metrics are no longer needed, please remove them from their definitions files (Histograms.json, Scalars.yaml, Events.yaml).
- If one, some, or all of the metrics are still required, please submit a Data Collection Review [2] and patch to extend their expiry. There is a shorter form for data collection renewal [3].
If you have any problems, please ask for help on the #fx-metrics Slack channel or the #telemetry Matrix room at https://chat.mozilla.org/#/room/#telemetry:mozilla.org. We'll give you a hand.

Bug 1678204 - update expiry of browser import / migration probes, r?mak
Request for Data Collection Renewal
** This form is for the renewal of an existing, reviewed data collection.**
** All questions are mandatory.
You must receive Data Review from a
Data Steward
on a filled-out Request before shipping your renewed data collection.**
- Provide a link to the initial Data Collection Review Request for this collection.
For:
FX_MIGRATION_ENTRY_POINT
FX_MIGRATION_ERRORS
FX_MIGRATION_USAGE
FX_MIGRATION_LOGINS_IMPORT_MS
FX_MIGRATION_LOGINS_JANK_MS
FX_MIGRATION_LOGINS_QUANTITY
Most recent renewal prior to renewal forms was:
https://bug1584261.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=9095913
For
FX_MIGRATION_SOURCE_BROWSER
FX_MIGRATION_BOOKMARKS_IMPORT_MS
FX_MIGRATION_HISTORY_IMPORT_MS
FX_MIGRATION_BOOKMARKS_QUANTITY
FX_MIGRATION_HISTORY_QUANTITY
I couldn't find separate forms, despite them having been renewed in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1606205 in part referring to that renewal (which only mentioned logins-specific items.
In terms of the data collection types etc., the _QUANTITY and _MS histograms have the same kind of impact as the ones for logins. That leaves the source browser one, which was renewed in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1523179 pointing to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=731025#c35 which was pre-form. But basically, that probe just records which browser the user imported data from.
- When will this collection now expire?
Firefox 92 - so June next year. Though at this point I'm wondering if we should transform these into permanent probes...
- Why was the initial period of collection insufficient?
The latest renewal is insufficient because we're gearing up for Proton, and for bookmarks-related improvements, and we'll want to know if there's a significant change in import behaviour / success rates as a result.
