User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4280.66 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
I received a message with 4 attachments (< 1 Mo) that I want to forward. The message is accepted by the SMTP (confirmed by wireshark : accepted for delivery).
The message doesnt get through and is never deliverered.
This has been tested on 3 different SMTP server including gmail.
Actual results:
Message doesnt get through.
If I drop the attachments, It gets through.
If I wipe out the Subject, it gets through.
If both Subject and attachments are present, it doesnt get through.
Expected results:
Message should get through and be received.
It has to do with the body of the message. If I replace the body by plain text, it gets through

I confirm that's a thunderbird (probably encoding issue).
I downloaded MailSpring
Forward from Mailspring to Thunderbird -> OK
Forward from Thunderbird to Mailspring -> KO.

What version of Linux?
I had no trouble forwarding the test case email from my primary email account to two secondary email accounts using Thunderbird 78.5.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.
It only has one attachment.

Pierre,
I also had no problem forwarding the message with the 5 attachments you sent to me, from my primary email account to two IMAP and one POP3 accounts of mine using Thunderbird 78.5.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

After further investigation, my tests were wrong. The problem exists, not in Thunderbird, but in the SMTP server of my local Internet Access Provider.
Sorry for that.
Thanks to all,

Hi Wayne,
They do support TLSv1.2.
In fact the very message I sent you doesn't go through (it does go through 2 other SMTP servers), but most of them go through without any problem.
Thank you,
Regards,
Pierre

Hi all,
if the same message is sent by springmail, it goes through ad is received by thunderbird.
It seems a very specific Issue :
1/ a very specific message
2/ sent by thunderbird
3/ through Orange SMTP server
I really don't understand.
Regards,
Pierre
