RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 1664731

People

(Reporter: turingtux, Unassigned)

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a calendar synchronized with a CalDAV server (I use a self-hosted DAViCal instance, but I believe the bug should appear with any CalDAV server)
  2. Create a task in this calender and configure a recurrence (e.g. weekly)
  3. Save and close the task
  4. In the task list, double-click a task and "edit only this event"
  5. Set the progress to "In process", specify an arbitrary completeness percentage (e.g. 10%)
  6. Save and close the task
  7. Press "Synchronize"

I believe the bug is new in Thunderbird 78, because I actively used the feature and it worked before the update. I am not aware of any changes to my DAViCal installation, so I believe the bug is indeed client-side. The bug does not appear in local (unsynced) calendars.

Actual results:

The progress disappears in the task list.

Expected results:

The progress stays as I entered it.

The same problem applies to the description of the task (when edited individually).

This looks like a duplicate of bug 1664731.

It does indeed seem similar, especially to comment #19 on that particular bug.
