Steps to reproduce:

I tried to log in to Firefox Sync.

Actual results:

I was told my account was locked as the email was returned.

Expected results:

Being able to sign into firefox sync and sync my data.

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.
