Regardless of the window position of mozilla when it's closed, it opens all the
way to the left of my display screen.
I use a wide-screen monitor at 1600x1024 resolution if that's of any help.
I don't have this problem on my home machine which has a regular (square)
monitor so I'm thinking it could relate to the resolution.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start mozilla
2.move it to the center of the monitor
3.exit mozilla
4.Re-start mozilla - it shifts to the left of my screen
Actual Results:
it shifts to the left of my screen
Expected Results:
it should have remembered its last position and re-started there

I have tried moz 1.2.1 and I observe two types of behavior. One is the same as
before, where mozilla opens to the left side of my screen. The other, which
seems to be new, is that the left-right position is remembered but each
successive exit and re-launch of mozilla results in its opening lower and lower
on the screen. It even goes below the task bar and obscures itself.
This new behavior is now the dominant one. The earlier behavior seems only to
occur on initial launch (after a reboot, for example).
Successive openings are lower by about the height of a line of text.
I don't know what might be causing this. It is unaffected by the autohide
setting on my taskbar.
Hope this is helpful.

Marshall Thompson, this works for me with 1.6 on Win2k.
Could you please re-test it with a current version?
Is there anything unusual about your system? Some screen manager/driver that
could be causing this?
The file localstore.rdf in your profile directory saves the window position and
size under:
<RDF:Description RDF:about="chrome://navigator/content/navigator.xul#main-window"
Could you please have a look if the size/position listed there is correct?

The bug seems to have gone away. I currently use Mozilla 1.5 on Win2k and
WinXP. I believe the bug went away as of version 1.4, possibly 1.3.
So unless it comes back, this bug seems fixed.
Thanks.
