User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_6) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/14.0.1 Safari/605.1.15

Steps to reproduce:

open a new Tab and try to visit a website on my M1 MacBook Air.

Actual results:

The website is not loading and endlessly trying to load, but no error message is appearing, but but other browsers can visit it fine; if I quit firefox and reopen it, the website does load.
I can't reproduce the same issue on an Intel MacBook Pro on the same network.

Expected results:

The website should have loaded.

(I submitted with Safari since Firefox couldn't open any website)

Could you try the steps here and see if safe mode fixes this?

Hey Janni,
I tried reproducing this issue on the latest versions of Firefox Nightly 86.0a1 (2021-01-18) , beta 85.0b9 and release 84.0.2 but there were no issues for me when accessing a new tab; any sites that I accessed worked accordingly.

Can you test the issue while in Safe Mode? You can find helpful info here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode .
Also a fresh new profile could help. You can find more about creating a new profile here : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile .
If possible, you can test this issue on the nightly build as well. Download the build from : https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ .

Hi Andrei, Hi Stephen,

sorry, I didn't see the request earlier.

This happened under 83 as stated, in 84 I couldn't reprocude it anymore.

Personally, I'd consider this resolved witht he update to 84
