Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:83.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/83.0

Steps to reproduce:

I'm using 2 monitor setup. While gaming on monitor #1 I tried changing my song on Firefox on monitor #2

Actual results:

The moment Firefox gets focus, monitor #1 goes to desktop.

Expected results:

Expected results are to give focus to Firefox on monitor #2 and monitor #1 stays in fullscreen mode. This is what happens with Chrome by doing the exact same thing.

Summary: I'm using 2 monitor setup. When I click on my Firefox window on monitor #2, the other monitor (#1) on which I'm gaming goes to desktop. While doing the same thing in Chrome the game stays and I can use both monitors simultaneously. → Click on Firefox window on monitor #2, the other monitor (#1) on which I'm gaming goes to desktop. Not so with Chrome

Most games don't allow moving the cursor out of the game window when in full screen. Do you just... move the cursor from monitor 1 (where the game is displayed in full screen) to monitor 2 (where you have a music player of some kind)?
It would be important to know which game you are using and whether you made any relevant changes to the settings of how the game is displayed.
Thanks.

I'm having this comparison when using the same game but both browsers. In Firefox it goes to desktop, and when in Chrome it doesn't. The game is in desktop mode and since I'm comparing this with Chrome everything is set up as it should in the settings. I'm just moving the cursor from first to second monitor without doing anything else. I wonder is there something I can do in the settings of Firefox?

Please give me the exact steps to reproduce. Which game are you playing in monitor 1? What website are you using for music in montor 2? Thanks!

Although this description does feel as intended, I would like to be sure about it.

When playing a full-screen game, the cursor shouldn't let you hover out of the game area (primary monitor), however, I imagine that the game has some activated option to show the game as full screen, but actually be in window mode. Furthermore, if you were to click outside of the game, the focus SHOULD change to the browser and the game might be affected by this action and this repercussion might be intended.

If you give me more information, I will attempt to confirm it and make sure whether it is valid or not. Thanks.

I am required to reproduce your behavior and assess its validity, however, if I cannot, I must close the bug.
Please reopen when you have more information about its reproduction.
