User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Mozilla (i tried version 0.99 1.0 and 1.1) crashes when i try to open any page that has flash plugins. I have shockwave flash installed (that two files) and when i remove them of plugins directory the pages open well but dont show the plugins flash. With netscape 7.0 i have the same problem. But i think that with the version 4.** this problem doesn't appears. I have a HP Omibook Xe3 Laptop with Red hat linux 7.3 installed. But sometimes (very weird) the pages opened well with the plugins and the shockwave flash worked. This just happened sometimes.. i dont know how to explain this. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open Mozilla 2.Open any page with flash plugins Actual Results: The mozilla crashed.. i had to kill it and restart it. Expected Results: Open correctly the page.
I think this is, and has been a known issue. I also believe it's a problem on macromedia's end, not Mozilla's. Are you running any other sound programs while testing this? Building from cvs this morning on Linux, pages with flash load fine as long as there are not ANY other programs trying to access the sound. Kill xmms, kill esd, kill anything that could be hitting the sound, and try it again. I think this has been an issue for a long time now, but I can't find the big report to back that up. To reproduce: 1. Open something that is using the sound (xmms, mpg123, etc) and play something 2. Open mozilla 3. Open page with flash 4. Mozilla locks until the program that is using the sound is killed
are you viewing through xdisplay, if so, this is a known issue
Yes i think you are right. I tried and it worked as you said. But my sound board support multiple sounds simultaneously.. in windows xp I can do everythink at the same time. Anyway i will try to open more flash pages with and without sound to confirm.. Thanks
