This document was written before Firefox source docs really took off. Now that MDN has switched out its backend to GitHub, the original page has been marked "archived", and it's therefore become a bit awkward to update.

We should migrate this archived page into the Firefox source docs so that they're easier to update. Plus it just probably makes more sense living there.
