User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0

Steps to reproduce:

Over years our website basic content has not change.

But after an update a small hint animation was not visible anymore.

Only Firefox does have that issue.

On other browsers the GIF was displayed.

Actual results:

https://www.medwer.de

Where to see / expect something? Where to see that screenshot? What are clear and exact steps to reproduce?
Why do you think that this is a bug in Firefox code, and not the Wordpress code that is running on that website?

#Where to see / expect something? Where to see that screenshot? What are clear and exact steps to reproduce?

In the past the animation was always shown in firefox and the site code was not changed for that GIF.

#Why do you think that this is a bug in Firefox code, and not the Wordpress code that is running on that website?

ALso all other browser show that looped animation on the top left.

Please provide full, clear, complete, specific steps to reproduce to see something somewhere.

  1. I go to http://www.medwer.de
  2. I get redirected to https://www.medizinwerk.de/portfolio
  3. I see some looped animation cube thing in the middle of the page. Same in Chrome-based browsers.
  4. I still don't know what you expect where and why.

(Please also see the "console" of your web browser's developer tools for several errors in the code base of that website.)

Andre,
did you read the things i wrote?

The animation on the top left was meant.

That is not visible in the firefox screen snipped i attached.

Ah, looks like I had to pass that cookie thing dialog first. There is an animation shown here in upper left corner, but I'm running 84 and not 85 like you (?). Cannot reproduce.

Plus I'd recommend anyway that this website first fixes its error in its code (see error console).

(In reply to Ralf from comment #6)

Andre,
did you read the things i wrote?

Yes, I did. And the things were unclear, as I had to pass some cookie thing dialog which I hadn;t realized before, as steps were unclear, plus no idea where to see that screenshot that you provided, as steps to reproduce were unclear, and as my screenshot looks very different. Hence I asked you to be more specific. You may want to fix the errors in the code on the website and then check again.

Thanks for the screenshot!
Seemes that this issue is only on my side...
But i can also not find out why my firefox (version) does not play that gif anymore.
All addons are disabled, also setting an autoplay value for videos back to default.

nothing changed for me...

Thanks for the bug info - which has been created during updates of WP or somewhat else.

i have installed the 32bit version of 84 (no that 64bit beta i use)

no addons , clean install, same issue...

what a dumb thing to do.
My wife has the same thing on Windows7 64bit....
Now I blame either our provider, the common antivirus system or something extraterrestrial...

I'll start to turn back one of my systems little by little, to get to the bottom of this problem.

Figured it out...

Still have an "emergency connection" 30Mbit Unitymedia parallel to
our 700 "Deutsche Glasfaser", because we both run our business at home.

On the fiber hangs a Fritz 7590 on the other a Fritz 6490.

Just connect here computer, with opened browser and our open page,
routed to the Unitymedia and after F5 the animation was there!

What a lousy thing to impose me there.

Provider or Fritz is the answer...

Heh, glad you could track down the reason a bit! :) I'm closing this one as it seems that Firefox isn't the culprit.
