User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 With Mozilla 1.1 (and apparantly 1.0 as well) if you install mozilla on OS X and then run it, it will create preferences. If you change your hard drive name for any reason, on the next launch mozilla hangs and will not finish the launch. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Mozilla. 2. Run Mozilla. 3. Quit Mozilla. 4. Change Hard Drive Name 5. Launch Mozilla Actual Results: Displays splash screen... never goes any further. Expected Results: Finished launching and start properly. This seems to be related to the full path being encoded in the preference files. Best guess is that it fails and get's stuck. Changing the HD name back will cause the problem to go away... though If I want to keep the new HD name, I have to throw away my entire preferences directory.. nothing else works.

Jason, can you still reproduce this problem using a current nightly build?
Summary: Startup hang if hard drive name changed. → Start-up hangs if hard drive name changed
I could reproduce this problem in a previous version of Mozilla. However, I can no longer reproduce it using Mozilla 1.3 and Mac OS 10.2.4.
