Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:84.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/84.0
Steps to reproduce:
Went to https://www.google.com/ in a new tab
Actual results:
The cursor started failing to appear in the search box yesterday (12/29/2020), I have to click on the search box before typing my query. Prior to this, the cursor would automatically appear in the search box when visiting the Google web page so that the extra step of clicking the mouse in the search box wasn't necessary.
Other browsers (e.g., Microsoft Edge) do not have this issue, it is on Firefox only and it's not an issue with my computer as I've tried it on multiple devices with the same outcome.
Expected results:
cursor should automatically appear in the search box so that the user can immediately type in a search query rather than have to first click on the search box.

Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables add-ons, extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems.) See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
And does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile
Hi, Andre - you found it, the issue went away when I disabled the Zoom Page WE extension. They must have made some change that's causing the problem. Thanks very much, I really appreciate your help! Bob
