User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020909 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.0.1) Gecko/20020909 In Chimera 0.5, if a download link is triggered, or a "save" - "save as" dialogue is triggered, and the user quickly activates an application menu during the delay before the download (or save) dialogue appears, then the application menu remains on the screen, not dismissing when the dialogue is clicked on. The dialogue itself will allow most user interaction: draggable behind the still-open application menu, and all buttons responsive to clicks. The exception is that the navigation popup menu, with locations like "desktop," "home," recent and favorites, is not responsive. This means that while all places are still reachable through column mode, shortcuts are down for the count. Fast systems on fast connections might not see it, I am on 56k with a 450MHz G4. The delay is sometimes hard to catch with my system, try versiontracker or fileplanet or some other download site that uses dl cgi and is dog-slow (sorry vt). Either the application menus (Navigator, File, Edit, View, Go, Bookmarks, Window, Help) need to dismiss themselves when a "save as" style dialogue comes up, or they should time out. Probably the former. The bug may be present with "open" dialogues, but I've been unable to produce a long enough delay to test it. The bug happens with both quick click-release and click n' hold, the menu only needs to be present when the dialogue comes up for the bug to manifest itself. Using Chimera 0.5 (build 2002090913) on Mac OS X v 10.2 -Joe Burns Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start a download or save a page. 2. Quick before the dialogue comes up, click on any application menu such as File or Edit. 3. Keep the menu open until the "save" or "download" dialogue comes up. 4. Click on the dialogue --> the menu doesn't go away. 5. Click on the popup menu in the dialogue - it won't come up while the above menu is open, which wont go away until you cancel/escape out of the dialogue. Actual Results: The application menu will not be dismissed while the dialogue remains open. Expected Results: Application menus should dismiss when other interface elements are selected, including dialogue boxes. Using Chimera 0.5 (build 2002090913) on Mac OS X v 10.2
I can repro this.
