Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:84.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/84.0

Steps to reproduce:

When playing videos (from anywhere) the audio will sometimes disappear. Have to close browser and then it works for some time again. Stopped using FireFox as it is happening more often. Other browsers works fine.

Sometimes FF is extremely slow and when opening pages - loggin into things I just get a blank empty page. I go back and try again and second time it usually works. Other browsers doesn't do this.

Actual results:

Expected results:

I just expected to get sound and non blank pages as I get in other browsers. Opera, Edge, Vivaldi, Brave and Chrome.

Just upgraded FF yesterday and thought it was the latest version but I realized that the downloaded package is for some obscure reason only v.84.0.2

Hi Fonso can you provide me with additional information such as a possible video or website to demonstrate the issue your referring to and also please provide me your about:support to do this go to the Firefox URL bar and type about:support and click copy text to clipboard or raw data to clipboard to paste it as a comment so i can check on my end if this is sound drive issue or a rendering issue for the browser based on the hardware your using and go to https://profiler.firefox.com/ click the profile button looks like a speedometer and hit capture profile and go to the video once the issues start capture and load the profile and send it as a comment as a URL.

Also, does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables add-ons, extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems.) See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

And does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile
