Steps to reproduce:

var objvideo;
if (objvideo = document.createElement('video')) {
try {
if (!objvideo.canPlayType('video/mp4')) {
}
}
catch (evt) {}
}

Actual results:

A warning: Cannot play media. No decoders for requested formats: video/mp4

Expected results:

Nothing. No warning should be sent if it's just a test with objvideo.canPlayType().

This sounds like bug 1674315, where we incorrectly reported warnings such as this. If you could test in the latest nightly this should be fixed.

In regards to comment 1? No, that's just a bot moving this to a component to try and get it to the right product and component (which it did). Following each bug will then get picked up during triage process for that component -- this bug jumped the queue a bit with the needinfo, but the outcome would have been similar.
