User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 This site causes Mozilla to first hang then freeze the computer after 5 to 10 seconds. The problem occurs when I use the scroll function and scroll up after having scrolled down more than hald the page. It happens under Win2000 server using dual cpu's. The problem does not occur in WinXP. The error is reproducable. It happens on other sites but this one will reproduce the freeze all the time. I can not get any more information as the computer locks up and has to be rebooted. No BSOD just locks. The mouse works for a while and then freezes as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to site 2. Scroll down more than 50% 3. Scroll back up using "slide" function Actual Results: Mozilla stops working. ALL other Apps not responding. After 10 sec mouse freezes and machine needs to be rebooted. Not BSOD but a Freeze. Only in Win2000 server on my Dual CPU machine (ABIT BP6 dual Celerons 550Mhz) WinXP works fine on same machine same version of Mozilla. All versions from 1.1 thru 1.2a.

This has been happening on my computer since installing 1.1. It wasnt until yesterday that I realized it was Mozilla. Using Windows 2000 I can recreate the exact problem reported on numerous websites. as it happens I will post the URL's here. As described, it is just a hard lock, preceeded by a system beep. The mouse moves around for a while, then the beep, mouse and computer freeze, forcing me to hard reset it. Here is the page it was doing it to me on today: http://www.accessmicro.com/btosystem/ Scrolling down to the bottom of the page, I notice the rendering of the Intel graphics become distorted, computer stops reacting, mouse still moves, then beep/freeze. System: Intel Celeron 900 Asus TUSL2-C ATI Radeon 7500 512mb crucial PC 133 memory

From the Release Notes : Mac OS and Windows: Using ATI video drivers will lead to random crashes on many sites. Mac OS ATI driver versions affected: All (?) Windows ATI driver versions affected: 5.13.1.6118 (Mac OS) Workaround: set your screen to 'Thousands of colors' rather than 'Millions'. (Windows) Possible Workaround: Revert to an older driver (6094?)-- Untested (Bug 101055) see also bug 101055 comment 94 for a workaround *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 101055 ***
