User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826

When I load: http://www.javagaming.org/discus/messages/1/1.html?1031993533
Mozilla starts loading the page, then hangs... I had some people (#mozilla)
checking out the page, and confirmed the bug on 1.1 linux and 1.2a windows

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. load url http://www.javagaming.org/discus/messages/1/1.html?1031993533
2. wait :)

Actual Results:
Mozilla hangs

Expected Results:
ehh - render the page :)
Sorry to say, it works for me.

It takes some seconds, but mozilla does not hang.

Using trunk build 2002091304 - WinXP.
Also works for me running
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win 9x 4.90; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020908
Windows ME
Joe
k, This page initially loads for me too, however if I change from say Mozilla to
mIRC and back I just get a white window - Mozilla doesn't respond...
using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020913
it still hangs...
wfm with win2k build 20020914.. (mozilla is slow but no hang)
With Mozilla 1.1

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826

mozilla is not usable on that URL.

Mozilla respons but with so long delay that it is not usable.
Ie. When you press Back you get to previous page if you wait
long enough, but that wait is so long that you are likely to try kill
mozilla first.

Hang is strong word, but I do not call that as "Works for me".
Changing OS : Windows XP -> All

OS: Windows XP → All
Took about 2 minutes to render, memory size up from 22 to 77 MB.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826
OS: All → Windows XP
hmm given enough time, it seems that Mozilla does actually complete the
rendering... - but it takes a serious amount of CPU + Ram !

And while this "process" is done, Mozilla isn't responsive at all...
-> Parser

I'm not sure how valid the attached HTML is, but Mozilla sure doesn't handle it
well.

Summary: Browser hangs when loading url → Browser uses excessive CPU and RAM parsing page with many FONT tags
I got a crash when trying the minimal testcase in build 2002091309 on Mac OS 9.

I noticed that Mozilla was taking a very long time to run the testcase, possibly
hung. But then I got to fix dinner (it's my turn today :-), and when I came back
after 15 minutes, I found that Mozilla had crashed.

Talkback TB10928563Q
Reproduced with build 2002091408 on win2k sp2. excessive (100%) cpu and memmory
usage.

Compared with IE 6.0. CPU is maxxed briefly but goes idle after a few seconds.
Using celeron 500 mhz, 256 mb ram.
