is not functional. A spinning beach ball is encountered after clicking on
"library catalog."

I'm using Mozilla 1.2a
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910
*** This is build 2002091014 ***
No other browsers, that I am aware of in Mac OS X, are able to make this Great River
Regional Library site work either.
I confirm this bug.
Crash during initialization under Mac OS 9.2.2 English-North American
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020913
Build ID 2002091309. Have 'Modern' theme installed.
I get a lot of this on lots of sites recently, see 3 attached MacsBug binhexed
stdlog files. One is for this site, one is for the BBC World Service, and the
last is for somewhere else.
This might be a duplicate of the legion of open JavaScript bugs for Mozilla.
This is important as this site, http://news.bbc.co.uk/, has an enormous amount
of traffic, & within the UK it is the busiest site overall.

I guess I'll confirm that the applet doesn't run using FizzillaCFM/2002091014 on
10.1.5. I don't know enough about Java to guess why, but if it doesn't work on
any OS X browser, it's probably a problem between MRJ and the applet, and not a
Mozilla bug. I've attached the output written to the Java Console.
mailto:wighta@nmia.com, you should file your crasher as a separate bug.

Re : additional comment # 11
I don't believe my crasher is as a different bug, though I could be wrong.
With IE 5.1.5 the testcase, naturally, works for me.
With iCab 2.8.2 PPC English <http://www.icab-soft.de/download.html>, I do not
get further than the initial white screen with the alert "Initializing, please
wait".
I wonder if bug 154699 is involved here :

Mac OS 9.2.2 English-North American. Have ‘Modern’ theme installed.
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020915

Using the specified URL, the applet loads on the page and is functional. Tested
with the 2002-10-14-03 trunk build under 10.2.1.

I can't reproduce this under the 2002-10-14-05 branch build. Tested under 10.2.1.

There is a problem under 10.1.5 using either the branch (2002-10-14-05) or trunk
(2002-10-16-08). Applet fails to load: Start - Applet not intialized.

I can't reproduce under 10.2.2 using the 2002-12-18-08 CFM trunk.

|

Confirming that is only occuring under 10.1.5 using the 2002-12-18-08 CFM trunk
