Steps to reproduce:

Host a Jitsi meeting.
Connect Participant A via firefox.
Connect Participant B via Jitsi Dial in connection.

Actual results:

A cannot hear B but can see them

Expected results:

A should have been able to hear B

I have attempted reproducing your issue by connecting with and android and iphone with both the Jitsi Meet app and the mobile browsers to a Linux hosted meeting with other participants. I wasn't able to reproduce your issue.

I suspect there may be a need to allow the use of the microphone on the "B" phone. Mic use may be blocked.

I will try and determine what the issue is and, more importantly, asses whether this is a valid issue or not.
Answer some questions for us:

  1. Does it still reproduce?
  2. What kind of phone is it?
  3. How are you connecting to the meeting? By the native app or through the browser? Which browser?
  4. Make sure the microphone is shared and in use before trying again. Let us know the result.
