menu bar fails to appear or be carried forward to next instance of FFN

Steps to reproduce:

Start FFN "normally". Noticed "Menu Bar" was missing. Left button "click" on left arrow, selected the "Menu Bar" box, released the left button... The Menu Bar appeared.

did some work...

quit the FFN instance and restarted. Noted that the "Menu Bar" was missing". NO OTHER ERROR MESSAGES APPEARED DURING THIS.

Expected results:

Menu Bar setting should be carried forward to all subsequent invocations.

These messages keep appearing at startup:

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.
