Same problem on linux, mozilla 1.1. This same bug keeps coming up on different platforms, and is UNCONFIRMED on all of them. Why?
See also bug number 179906 (which I created to gather this problem which seems to be multi-platform into one bug; someone could mark as duplicates later IF this turns out to be a correct guess)
Did you use ctrl-c to copy in Mozilla and alt-v to paste in BeOS? And vice- versa to go the other way? I know I've done this in Mozilla 1.1, and I'm pretty sure I've done it in 1.2. I'll test when I get home.
I just tried to copy and paste to and from Mozilla to StyledEdit and it worked (as long as I used the ctrl key in Mozilla and the alt key in StyledEdit). If you want Mozilla to use the alt key, try this http://www.bezilla.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=FAQ&file=index&myfaq=yes&id_cat=2&categories=BeZilla+-+Custimizing Or, am I not understanding your problem?? I have never had problems cutting and pasting in BeOS with Mozilla. the assignment of the Hotkey Ctrl-V is standard in windows, and Mozilla is ultimatly a port from Windows, but the hotkey assignment has no bearing on anything else ive seen, so i think this bug should be marked invalid.
