Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create an identity, for an account, and affect to it an encryption key
  2. Disable the encryption and the signature
  3. Create a new message
  4. Start writing and wait for the autosave

Actual results:

Until last week, nothing happent, ie. the message was saved silently and it was fine.

Expected results:

Now, an error window appears saying there is a problem ith encryption.

Here is the URL to the error console output:
https://paste.debian.net/1181479/

Rather than external links, please use "attach new file" so that all relevant information is kept with the bug - you can paste text right into the attachment dialog (which isn't obvious)

Summary: AUtosave of draft fails when encryption is used → Autosave of draft fails when encryption is used

"no suitable subkey found for encrypt"

So did your encryption key expire?

Component: Message Compose Window → Security: OpenPGP
Product: Thunderbird → MailNews Core

Oh..... my damn!!!!

Sorry for the noise. Could not be more explicit the error message in the dialog? In the dialog I had not info about this. Or setting a more global warning about the expiration?

Best regards

Indeed that message should be improved!
