Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:84.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/84.0

Steps to reproduce:

Send mail via Gmail SMTP, it shown Google OAuth login form web page, but form not worked submitting my e-mail, it always return back asking to enter e-mail, no password prompt. in TB 78.6.0
Then after research i have found i have to go to Thunderbird / Edit / Preferences / Privacy & Security / Web content / and enable "Accept cookies from sites" i set it to Always and keep until expire. I think Thunderbird should handle this better and allow cookies and delete it immediately on such important auth forms. Or warn user that SMTP/IMAP Auth. forms can stop working on settings page or on the web page which is important SMTP/IMAP auth. form. I guess it is also failure of Google that they do not warn user that they can not proceed without cookies.

It is more a failure of Thunderbird
