Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910 When a list of items is displayed, The first user selection uses "dark blue" color, as expected; but once the user make use of this selection, the resulting selection then uses "light grey" :-( I have seen this in two cases: Download Manager, and Preferences__Languages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. For Download Manager, see description and confirmation at <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=166059>, #c1 and #c2 1bis. The confirmation was observed on a Linux: it's not Win95 only.!. (You may change Platform and Operating System as needed.) 2. For Preferences__Languages: 3. Edit > Preferences... > Languages 4. (assuming there are multiple languages) 5. Select one (or more) language 6. Use Move_Up or Move_Down ou Remove buttons Actual Results: The focus color changed. Expected Results: The focus color should remain "dark blue". Workaround, obviously: *If "light grey" is not the MS-Windows background color ... it is possible to continue to work with the new color. *If "light grey" is the MS-W. bg color (like my setup) ... making the selection "again" restores the "dark blue" color, until next action :-< NB: It could be somehow related to <http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121998> ??

>1. For Download Manager yes, this is a bug, but there's already bug 166059 filed, isn't it ? >2. For Preferences__Languages: When you click on a button, you are actually changing the focus. A tree loses the focus and a button gets the focus. So the tree selection is changing from dark blue to light grey and I think this is the desired behaviour. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 166059 ***

***** reply to comment 2 *For Preferences__Languages: I agree: it surprised me at the time, but it can/does make sense ! *For Download Manager: Currently, bug 166059 is titled about loosing focus after bottom line deletion only; And this bug is about color change on all other lines... I suggest to: *either mark this bug as new, and rename it to "D.M." instead of "Lists..." *or rename bug 166059 to be more general about focus/color handling in D.M.

I prefer to rename the other bug. Please do it so if you have time.

Learning how to use BugZilla: Marking as "Verified (Duplicate)"... Could I mark this bug as "Closed" (see comment 3 to 5), or should it remain V.D. untill some condition is met ? Thanks.
