My Browser freezes every time I try to view the Page Source of my Bookmarks I exported minutes ago. I Use Mozilla 1.2a (Build ID2002091014) on a Win 98 Second Edition system. Here is a detailed description: First go to "Bookmarks/Manage Bookmarks…" Then Export the Bookmarks by "Tools/Export…" View the File in your Browser and try to view the Page Source ("View/Page Source2) At this moment all opened Mozilla Windows freezing and you can only close the Application by pressing Alt-Strg-Delete and then "Kill Task". I Don’t know exactly how the Buttons are labelled in the English Version of Win 98. Robert Stein.

WFM, 2002-09-13-10 trunk Linux Robert, how big is your exported "bookmarks.htm" file? Could you attach it to this bug report? http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?bugid=168795&action=enter
I found out that my Browser freezes each Time I try to view the Page Source of any page. My Mozilla 1.2a installation is a couple of days old and perhaps it wasn’t very clever only to update the old 1.1 version. I think I’ll deinstall this version and try to install it a second time. But this time clean. P.S. My exported bookmarks.html has a size of 31.540 bytes.
I tried to reinstall Mozilla but the bug was still the same. Then I created a new Profile and now everything is ok. My old Profile was in a Folder called "Users50". It is an old Profile I used with my Netscape 6.2 But I never had Problems with it. My new Profile is in a folder called "Profiles". I will try to find out what exactly the differences are between the two profiles. Perhaps I can tell then why the function "Page Source" always crashes with my old profile.

I have the same problem. Viewing source freezes the browser every time. It did not do this until I upgraded to 1.2.1. Unfortunately, I don't remember what build I was running previusly. I think it was a nightly from after 1.2b, but before 1.2. I am running Windows XP. I looked in the windows task manager to see what kind of resources mozilla was using when this happens and it is consistently 95-99% cpu and the memory usage just climbs at about 1 meg every couple seconds until I kill it.
