Steps to reproduce:

Update Nightly.
Go to YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/arirangworld/videos
Click Channel Search Icon in channel

Actual results:

When Click Channel Search Icon nothing happens

Expected results:

When I click the Channel Search Icon, a search bar should open next to it to allow input for a search query on that channel.

Tried with experiment HTTP 3 BOTH TURNED ON AND OFF. Same results

Bugbug thinks this bug should belong to this component, but please revert this change in case of error.

In the console I see reported listener method openOnClick_ not defined

Ugh, that's a YouTube problem. I tried with mozregression first, then realized it's not working even in release (84.0.2 and 85).

Clicking the search icon seems to toggle the background of the current tab, but doesn't show the search bar. I'm positive it was working normally less than 24 hours before.

fwiw this is broken on Chromium edge too.
and Safari.

This is just a site error from Youtube.

Hi,
I tested this issue on Windows 10 on Firefox Nightly 87.0a1 (2021-01-28) (64-bit), Beta 86.0b.8 (64-bit) and Release 85.0 (64-bit) , but I was unable to reproduce this issue on my end.

Also, I tried to reproduce using other browsers, but it could not be reproduce neither.

If you are still able to reproduce it, please, share further information with us, like screenshots, screen recording, or more specific steps.

As comment 5 explains, this was broken for all users and browsers. In the meantime, I suppose YouTube reverted the change.

I can confirm that the YouTube channel search function is indeed working now.

I went to https://www.youtube.com/c/arirangworld/videos and tried to perform a search on the channel. I can confidently say that it is working very well now.
