I wanted to verify the fix of bug 1688758 but it's not possible because the content no longer loads at all.
STR:
- open the add-ons manager
- switch to the recommendations tab
- click on the link in the introduction text
Expected:
Thunderbird loads the content.
Actual:
There is only a blank page.
OS: macOS 11.1

Due to bug 1690118 I am not able to say which change fixed this but now I can use a current build again and this issue is fixed. :)
