Details
If we first start mozilla when off-line, and then we dial up a connection, the
browser doesn't detect the connection, and we must to restart the program.
Bug detected in version 1.1 and 1.2alpha
Bug not detected in 0.9
I don't know for 1.0

Does it work, if you enter the IP into the url bar?
maybe a dup of bug 64857
connection has many meanings, so I added a little to the summary...
The problem with Linux has gone on for a while, the current record is bug 166479.
Please try an IP address after your dialup connection is made. If that works,
then you can VERIFY as a dupe.
