The page has periods when page content takes some time to paint in.

It just looks like the vast majority of time here is spent compositing. Otherwise, there is not very much shader overhead going on that I can notice.

I tried this out with gfx.core-animation.tint-opaque and it looks like we're getting more transparency then you'd expect. Maybe we can do something about that.
