Details

As an offshoot of bug http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121122, the single and multiple implementations should be unified (since one is really just a specific case of the other). it'll help simplify the code and improve readability.
sorry for the spam. making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs. filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.
