Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.16; rv:85.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/85.0
Steps to reproduce:
I have opened in safe mode, disabled all add-ins, un-selected Hardware Acceleration in Preferences --> Performance. I have also deleted FF and reinstalled. This first began (maybe only co-incident) when working with WebEx. I have removed all WebEx addins and signed out of WebEx. None of this fixed the problem.
Actual results:
I first noticed this on restart or start when opening FF the session would hang on my Mac Big Sur. All systems are updated. If I force Quit, I may then open Firefox with no problem. Whenever it freezes (kaleidoscope ball spins) I force quit, reestablish a session and then it works. I have since identified that it is sometimes the first click or mouse attention that causes the freeze. Yet sometimes the browser opens with no problem. Usually in an existing computer session.
Expected results:
FF should open normally.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Graphics' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I can't imagine how this is related to graphics.

Hello, I had to change History settings to remove the 'always' open in Private Window. Private windows disable Profiler. I now know the keyboard command to start profiler. The freeze happens on FF load and the freeze disables all keyboard input, therefore must start Profiler via keyboard. I haven't reproduced it yet. It is now happening sometimes.

I'm not seeing any indication that this is graphics-related, until we know more at least.

Hello, the problem has stopped occurring. I think it had something to do with private browsing. I turned off Never Remember History. It is now set (checkbox) to Always use private browsing mode and the setting shows as Use custom settings for history. Yet there is no way to set any custom settings (such as how many days). It hasn't broken since I last wrote. I will add the Add-Ins again and hope for the best. Maybe an update that had something to do with the History settings changed and required a toggle of the browser settings.

Resolving incomplete - problem is too generic, no profile was provided and the user says the problem no longer occurs.
