Details
I've migrated from another browser recently to Firefox and the only feature I've been missing since then is installing a site as a separate desktop app.
Chromium and Gnome Web both have this feature.
The example user scenario is as follows.
- User visits a site which act like an app (it could be implemented as PWA but it's not necessary), i.e. Mastodon web UI, Twitter web UI, Netflix, corporate CRM, etc.
- User decides to use this site as a separate app. Reasons for this decision could be: user have been advised to that via a hint in Fx's UI (PWA only), user have been advised to do that by a user manual of a web-based service (CRM, Media Library, Photo Library, etc), user is educated enough to make this decision on their own when this seems a convenient way to use a site.
- User clicks a button in Fx's menu to install the site as a desktop app.
- A special desktop shortcut for the app is being created by Fx.
- Clicking on the desktop shortcut launches a new Fx window having no UI elements except window decorations and opens the site.
- The newly launched window must behave as a completely separate app from an OS' point of view. This includes: a window icon, a window class (Linux Desktop), and any other behaviors. This must result in avoiding window grouping with other Fx's windows and quitting/closing all opened Fx windows mustn't result in closing the app window.

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Audio/Video: Playback' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

I don't see "on pause". I see won't fix. Those seem very different to me.

yes, but wontfix are not eternal, features are re-evaluated periodically. For now it's a wontfix since it's not a target for this year at least.

Does the Bugbug bot ever get it right?
