Ever since I installed Netscape 7, I am unable to run Mozilla without creating a new profile every time. This happened with Mozilla 1.0.1 and 1.1, which I just downloaded. Needless to say, this is very annoying and I stopped using Mozilla - which is a shame, because Netscape 7 still has some problems... Thanks.
>Mozilla without creating a new profile every time. What happends if you run mozilla with your old profile ? Why do you not create your own profile for mozilla (1 profile for NS7 and one for Mozilla?)
Severity: blocker → critical
Summary: Losing Profiles → Losing Profiles
I cannot run Mozilla with the old profile because it says 'profile in use, create another' (or something to that effect). So, I create a new profile, use Mozilla OK once or twice, go to Netscape 7, back to Mozilla but the profile is gone. NRH
Is Netscape 7 running in turbo mode? (eg is netscape 7 visible in the task tray?)
also check task manager for a netscp process running. sounds like N7 is using a profile and locking is preventing using same profile in Mozilla (see bug 76431)
cannot reproduce here - reporter, please try suggestion in comment1. If you want to have same profile (mail etc) I can send you some instructions for copying a profile

Sorry about not responding. Disabling the 'turbo/quicklaunch' did the trick. Thanks.
