Comment on attachment 100000 [details] [diff] [review] Patch for nsprpub/configure Bah, what a boring patch to have as attachment 100000 [details] [diff] [review] :-(

The HPUX 11.22 release compiler crashes on nsRuleNode.cpp. This patch will allow the file to compile, but is not meant to be checked into CVS. HP has been notified of the problem, and it will be fixed in future compiler updates.
Comment on attachment 100000 [details] [diff] [review] Patch for nsprpub/configure I think we should "manage" this so that we don't have to change this every time HP releases something. CLS wanted to do this before but I was worried. instead of greping for each new 11 release, can you try egrep '^(B.11.)'

Comment on attachment 100039 [details] [diff] [review] Compiler crash workaround (no checkin) Using compiler version A.05.38 [Sep 12 2002], this patch is no longer needed. There is an official compiler patch now available from HP, PHSS_27658

This is an example .mozconfig file that will produce a functional build in combination with the other two patches.

Just curious (and slightly offtopic): Is there a reason why attachment 105389 [details] uses the "--disable-xprint" switch (e.g. do you run into any problems when you do not set that switch) ?
11.22 is the HP OS that runs on the ia64 chipset. The compiler/OS at the time of the first port died SOMEWHERE in the xprint stuff, because standard X includes weren't there (or they were messed up, not sure which). So it was simpler/quicker to turn it off. at this point there is little or no work being done with HP-UX (that I know of) so I don't think this is a big deal

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
