Details

The new "Activate" button in the calendar tab can be used to enable calendars that are permanently disabled.

STR:
0. Thunderbird 78.7, clean profile

  1. Install any add-on adding a calendar provider and add a calendar (for example https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thunderbird/addon/birthday-calendar – two calendars are automatically created after the installation)
  2. Uninstall the add-on installed in step 1 and do not delete the calendars in the prompt
  3. Switch to the calendar tab

Expected:
The calendars are disabled without an option to enable them again, as the add-on providing them is missing.

Actual:
The calendars are disabled, but the option to enable them is displayed and active (as the calendars are technically dummy calendars, enabling them will not cause any events to appear, though). The calendar preferences window works, though: the option to enable the calendar there is disabled (even after enabling the calendar).

Does this happen also for version 91?

Flags: needinfo?(public)

Yes, the STR produces the same unexpected behavior on 91.1.2 (tested on Linux x64, but likely platform-independent).
