User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; hu-HU; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; hu-HU; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 Suppose you have a txt file containing just email address, one per a line. No commas, no girst names, nothing fancy, just good old plain email adresses. You want to build a distribution list from them. There is no way to do this (see below) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a txt file, containing just plain RFC 822 email addresses. (copy-pasted from a column of an Excel sheet to Noticepad, for example), sperated by new lines. That is, one plain email address perline. Copy the content to clipboard. 2. Open address book, click File->New->Mailing lists 3. Fill in the compulsory field: the name of the new list 3. Go to the address filed entries, and paste (ctrl-v) Actual Results: only the first line will be pasted Expected Results: paste all lines as separate addresses, even if the clipboard contained 15 zillion lines with single email addresses per lines (Okay, if I could do this with, say, with at least 203 adresses, that would be fine. That was my task today). This feature has worked properly up to atleast Netscape 4.72

If multiple addresses are specified on a line, when we update the mailing list, add all the addresses to the list, not just the first one. This fix doesn't make it so we break up the line immediately after tabbing out or pressing return, like we do in the compose window, but it does update the list correctly.

Why is this marked resoved when it still doesn't work? I just checked Seamonkey 1.0.5 and it still takes only the first address.

Win has "1" for pasteNewLines, Linux 0. Plan is to set this pref. to two. For addresses "4" seem to be good. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editor.singleLine.pasteNewlines
