Steps to reproduce:

Firefox made an Update before starting up on my Ubuntu 20.10 (very latest),
BTW: I'm not sure about the firefox version I'm using. But it should be the latest as it just did an update as said.

Actual results:

After the update the Firefox window appears white, flickering and some text and images from icons or other apps in the background shine through, can't click anything, see anything but white, screenshot is attached. What's funny is in the screenshot, the part where Firefox should be, actually appears transparent (for me, everything that's transparent is simply white, ye can't really look through my display, can I :'D). So it seriously seems like a rendering issue. I'm currently running the proprietary driver "NVIDIA driver metapackage from nvidia-driver-460" on a geforce 1080ti. Chromium which I'm using as replacement atm runs fine as well as all other applications including browsers, games, 3D apps and dev/programming tools. It really looks like the update did something evil to my Firefox, it just turned it into a blackhole :'D Ruuuun

Expected results:

Firefox should open up as normal window without rendering issue

The Bugbug bot thinks this bug should belong to the 'Core::Widget: Gtk' component, and is moving the bug to that component. Please revert this change in case you think the bot is wrong.

Component: Untriaged → Widget: Gtk
Product: Firefox → Core

by the way I am using Firefox Developer Edition ;)

just reinstalled FF with downloaded version: firefox-87.0b2.tar.bz2
bug remains

That may be caused by enabled WebRender. Try to disable it, how-to is here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_debug_Firefox_problems?rd=Bug_info_Firefox#Check_WebRender

If it doesn't help you, can you please try to use mozregression to find the wrong commit? Looks like yout last good version was 85 or 84.
How-to is here:

Thanks.
