Details

(Been meaning to file this bug for a long time ... I find myself wanting it a few times a week). The browser has useful menu items in the context menus for links and images: Copy link location (on links) Copy email address (on links if link is a mailto:) Copy image location (on images) These would be just as useful in composer as they are in the browser. Also, on links, it would be extremely useful to have "browse url" in the context menu (i.e. go to the link in the browser). For an example, when I'm editing my status report, I often have something like "fixed bug 123456" and realize I forgot to include text describing what that bug is, or I want to check on the latest status of it to update the status report line, so I want to open that link in the browser. I can do this using a bookmarklet if I put the word "bug " before the linked number, select it and middleclick-paste into the browser window, but bookmarklets and middleclick-paste are an advanced feature; it would be nice to have an easier way to do this.

MASS-CHANGE: This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but has been without a comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project. This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state. If you can confirm that this report still applies to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it back to the NEW state along with a comment on how you reproduced it on what Build ID, or if it's an enhancement request, why it's still worth implementing and in what way. If you can confirm that the report doesn't apply to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it to the appropriate RESOLVED state (WORKSFORME, INVALID, WONTFIX, or similar).
