Steps to reproduce:

Updated Firefox

Actual results:

it automatically switches to a newly opened tab, even thou I have "When you open a new link in a tab, switch to it immediately" option turned off

Expected results:

do not switch to a newly opened tab unless the user wants that to happen

I was unable to reproduce the issue you've reported in any of the latest Firefox versions.

Please test if the issue occurs in safe mode. Here is a link that can help you do that:

Maybe you can do a screen recording just to be sure that we are on the same track here and it will help me to try to reproduce the exact behaviour.
