User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:86.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/86.0

Steps to reproduce:

I'm testing browser behavior side by side in Firefox and Firefox beta.

Actual results:

The icons of the two applications are identical in the panel/taskbar.

Expected results:

It would be helpful if Firefox Beta had a slightly different icon, to enable distinguishing the two instances in taskbars, task switchers etc.

Firefox Developer Edition does have a different icon, and so does Nightly.

At https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/desktop/, Beta does have a "Beta" mark on the logo.

The "Messenger" panel entry from the screenshot is for Firefox Beta, on KDE 5.21.2. About Firefox confirms I am on the beta update channel.

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. This could be a good enhancement, hopefully it will be taken into consideration in the future.
I've assigned a component in order to get the dev team involved, but if it's not relevant, 'Firefox-General' please feel free to change the component if this is not the appropriate one.

Regards,
Jerónimo.
