with MacOS 8.5 and WindowsNT, build 19991019xx, with japanese charsets
installed:

1. run the test above using tester.html in the ngdriver directory.

Test fails. Charset is displayed incorrectly on button and html does not
recognize a 2-byte font.

The test caess itself is corrupted. There are no ESC seq there. I cannot view it
correctly on 4.x neither.

The test case is not necessary to show this bug. I placed the file--without the
javascript--at the above URI. The button displays incorrectly.
