User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:86.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/86.0
Steps to reproduce:
- Delete an email
- Undo
- Redo
Actual results:
Steps 1 and 2 would complete but step 3 would not result in the email being deleted.
Expected results:
The email should be recovered after step 2, then deleted after step 3.
Using Windows 10 and TB 78.8.0
- Select email to view in Message Pane and click on 'Delete' - result: message deleted
- Edit > 'Undo delete message' - via 'Menu Bar' - result: message recovered shows in Inbox
- Edit > 'Redo delete message' - via 'Menu Bar' - result: message deleted
Also tested using the same relevant option in the 'Menu app icon' and also using the shortcut Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y
Same result - working as expected.
Tested Threaded view - on email in middle of thread - all working ok.
Tested in 'Unified Inbox' view - same results.
All the above tested on a POP account.
Tested on a gmail IMAP account.
IMAP offers different results.
- Emails deletes ok - seen in Bin
- 'Edit' > 'Undo' - back in folder, but needs a reselect to refresh/sync - ok
Bin shows 1 read email - black font until select then Bin gets refreshed as empty - ok - 'Edit' > 'Redo' - email still visible in folder - it has not been deleted - fail.
noticed: Bin shows 1 new blue message deleted, but when I select Bin it clears immediately.
Redo - fails and is reproducable.
noticed: I enabled 'Folder Pane Columns'
When email deleted, both initially and upon 'Redo' the count goes from 4 to 3.
The count has acknowledged both the first and the second 'Redo' delete, but email is not deleted from original folder upon 'Redo'.
So, after 'Redo', the count is now different from the number of emails being displayed.
Perform a 'Repair folder' and count is now 4 again.
So, I can reproduce this bug but it seems to be Imap specific.
Yes, the email account I am using is also IMAP. It would be great to get more confirmations and see if someone can be assigned to fix the bug.
