Crash Data

seen on linux commercial trunk builds 2002-09-16-05 & 2002-09-19-04 unfortunately, I haven't been able to nail down any reproducable steps. I will attache a talkback report that I saw with both builds (Monday and Thursday). In both cases I had run through all of the smoketests, with a new profile, doing the usual restarts along the way. And the builds worked fine. The final thing I tested was mail/news. Then later I went back to the build to check other bugs, but the build wouldn't launch. At first I just killed the attempt. But then I decided to let them go because it looked like the hard drive was active. Several minutes later the attempt to launch crashed and a talkback report was generated: Incident ID 11025845 Stack Signature libc.so.6 + 0x1e4e1 (0x404b04e1) e9bdfd03 Email Address twalker@netscape.com Product ID MozillaTrunk Build ID 2002091605 Trigger Time 2002-09-16 09:00:26 Platform LinuxIntel Operating System Linux 2.2.12-20smp Module libc.so.6 URL visited User Comments crash on launch Trigger Reason SIGIOT: Abort or IOT Instruction: (signal 6) Source File Name Trigger Line No. Stack Trace libc.so.6 + 0x1e4e1 (0x404b04e1) libc.so.6 + 0x1f868 (0x404b1868) libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 + 0x2ee55 (0x4047ee55) libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 + 0x2ee72 (0x4047ee72) libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 + 0x2f75b (0x4047f75b) libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 + 0x313c5 (0x404813c5) nsSupportsArray::GrowArrayBy() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/xpcom/ds/nsSupportsArray.cpp, line 194] nsSupportsArray::InsertElementAt() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/xpcom/ds/nsSupportsArray.cpp, line 394] nsSupportsArray::AppendElement() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/xpcom/ds/nsSupportsArray.cpp, line 78] nsXULPrototypeDocument::Read() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/content/xul/document/src/nsXULPrototypeDocument.cpp, line 383] nsXULPrototypeCache::GetPrototype() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/content/xul/document/src/nsXULPrototypeCache.cpp, line 272] nsChromeProtocolHandler::NewChannel() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/rdf/chrome/src/nsChromeProtocolHandler.cpp, line 643] nsIOService::NewChannelFromURI() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/netwerk/base/src/nsIOService.cpp, line 511] nsDocShell::DoURILoad() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/docshell/base/nsDocShell.cpp, line 163] nsDocShell::InternalLoad() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/docshell/base/nsDocShell.cpp, line 4939] nsDocShell::LoadURI() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/docshell/base/nsDocShell.cpp, line 701] nsWindowWatcher::OpenWindowJS() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/embedding/components/windowwatcher/src/nsWindowWatcher.cpp, line 736] nsWindowWatcher::OpenWindow() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/embedding/components/windowwatcher/src/nsWindowWatcher.cpp, line 459] netscape-bin + 0x5882 (0x0804d882) netscape-bin + 0x5403 (0x0804d403) netscape-bin + 0x60fd (0x0804e0fd) netscape-bin + 0x67a1 (0x0804e7a1) nsPref::EnumerateChildren() [/builds/client/linux22/seamonkey/mozilla/modules/libpref/src/nsPref.cpp, line 654] netscape-bin + 0x6957 (0x0804e957) netscape-bin + 0x6b2b (0x0804eb2b) netscape-bin + 0x922b (0x0805122b) netscape-bin + 0x9b1f (0x08051b1f) libc.so.6 + 0x181eb (0x404aa1eb
Thus far it looks like you have two of the three crashes with this stack, Tracy. That's quite a percentage. ;)
