169763 - Crash on launch after profile has been run through smoketests [@ libc.so.6] [@ nsSupportsArray::GrowArrayBy]

seen on linux commercial trunk builds  2002-09-16-05 & 2002-09-19-04

unfortunately, I haven't been able to nail down any reproducable steps.  I will
attache a talkback report that I saw with both builds (Monday and Thursday).  In
both cases I had run through all of the smoketests, with a new profile, doing
the usual restarts along the way.  And the builds worked fine. The final thing I
tested was mail/news.  Then later I went back to the build to check other bugs,
but the build wouldn't launch.  At first I just killed the attempt.  But then I
decided to let them go because it looked like the hard drive was active. 
Several minutes later the attempt to launch crashed and a talkback report was
generated:

Thus far it looks like you have two of the three crashes with this stack, Tracy.
That's quite a percentage. ;)
