User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:86.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/86.0

Steps to reproduce:

Using 78.7.1 (64-bit)

I configured multiple calendars from Google using CalDav.

Actual results:

It worked for some time.
I upgraded my Linux Mint Yesterday (can't remember if ThB was in the upgraded packages...).
Now, all the calendars are duplicated now... See attached picture.
I had to make half of them invisible, fearing that removing them would break something.
Also I noticed that the duplicates do not use the same URL as the original ones:

  • As per the link provided on the Google Calendar web pages, I created my calendars with a URL schema like: googleapi://xxx
  • The new duplicate calendars use the following scheme : https://apidata.googleusercontent.xxxxx

Expected results:

Config should be the same. Should be working. Upgrade should not modify configuration!

Component: Untriaged → General
Product: Thunderbird → Calendar
Version: 78 → unspecified
Version: unspecified → Thunderbird 78

Has this problem occurred another time or just once?

Reporter,

My Google calendar in all the Thunderbird versions I have installed on Fedora Linux and Windows 10 use,

https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/calid/events/

That was also the recommended solution at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1261974
