running mozilla then mozilla -mail results in a browser window and a profile manager that won't let me open the default profile

it worked with 1.1 alpha, I believe, but doesn't now. I have launchers for
mozilla and mozilla -mail, and I like to click the launcher to open my mail
rather than the tiny icon in the browser.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
it won't let you start with the default in order to prevent profile corruption.

bug 122698 allows you to open mail off the current instance instead of starting
a new one
