This is _not_ 159180 nor 119205 but may be related. I have: Linux box running RH7.3 running IMAP 2001a from http://www.washington.edu/imap/ I have one Mozilla 1.1 on the linux box which reads my mail from this IMAP server. Sometimes, I have a Mozilla 1.1b running on an NT4.0 box which also reads from the same IMAP server. I have KDE's korn (v0.2) telling me when new mail shows up. If only the Linux Moz MailNews is looking at the IMAP server, then korn never sees the number of unread mail items go down until I do a File->Compact Folders on the inbox. If both MailNews are looking at the IMAP server, then korn sees the count of unread items go down without my having to compact folders. Twisted. I expect this same problem can be reproduced with any mail watcher which supports IMAP. I only know of korn so lack data points. I suppose something about co-ordinating with more than one IMAP reader is causing MailNews to fail to update something. I'll try any suggestions as to how I might debug this for y'all.
