If email opened in a tab, then select to open again in tab should redirect to already opened tab

Some people open several emails each in a new tab intending to read etc over a period of time.
Sometimes they forget they have already opened that email in a tab and select to open again.
They end up realising they have the same email open in several tabs which makes it even harder to locate emails in opened tabs.
Request:
If email is already opened in a tab, a subsequent select to open in a tab should auto focus on the already opened tab and not open a duplicate tab.

That Bug doesn't really fit. But I am quite sure that there is already a duplicate.

Code should be around here: https://searchfox.org/comm-central/rev/553be722e72be25169bdf66b8edba6000dc97c9d/mail/base/content/msgMail3PaneWindow.js#1731
Should be possible to do something similar to https://searchfox.org/comm-central/rev/553be722e72be25169bdf66b8edba6000dc97c9d/mailnews/base/prefs/content/accountUtils.js#284 to see if we have that url already open.
