Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.2a) Gecko/20020910
Using any theme when you open a new window and it takes up 100% of the cpu
pressing the enlarge (+) will cause the new window to shrink to only a few
pixels. The window will remain working however it is so small you can not use
it. To further make this issue worse any new windows you open will be the same
size even after a forced quit / restart. If you have no other windows (normal
size) open when you do this then the only way to fix seem to be to dump all
user preferences so it will default back to normal window size.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. open mozilla
2. while it is opening and the cpu load goes to 100% press the enlarge (+) button
3. watch with ammzment you new window size
Actual Results:
Window shrank to unusable size
Expected Results:
enlarge the window
James, can you provide an example URL that causes Mozilla to use 100% CPU?

Actually it is not when you open a new page, but rather when you open a new
navigator window and hit the enlarge button while the window is loading and the
cpu is at 100%. Sorry for the confusion on that. Also I am going to test this
with 1.1 and see if it still an issue. I will post those results when I am
done.
WorksForMe using FizzillaCFM/2002091014 on 10.1.5. The window maximizes. James,
can you reproduce this problem using another Mozilla user profile?

I also experienced this problem but I can't seem to reproduce it. I am using OS
X (10.2.1) with Mozilla 1.2a. I thought it might be useful to pass along a
solution for restoring the window to normal size. Edit
~/Library/Mozilla/Profiles/default/[random letters]/localstore.rdf
and look for the line that contains
chrome://navigator/content/navigator.xul#main-window
in it and change the width and height listed right under it to a normal size.
Something like 640 and 480 should be good.
Chris
I think this is probably a dup of bug 167663.
